Airline Broke His Guitar And Refused To Compensate, So He Did This

bez-imeni-1

In 2008, a Canadian musician Dave Carroll had the tour over the USA. The musician with his band “Sons of Maxwell” had their trip on United Airlines. But the problems started from the very beginning.

Dave Carroll planned to take his very expensive guitar aboard, but the airline didn’t allow to do this. They made him check in the musical instrument. On the plane, the singer also heard that the baggage handlers were throwing the guitars on the transfer.

His misgivings had been well founded. In Chicago, Dave discovered that the guitar was broken! His $3,500 Taylor guitar was damaged!

Dave began to complain and tried to solve the problem communicating with the airline employees, but he failed. The negotiations with United Airlines took him nine months! The result was upsetting; the company refused to pay.

Dave Carroll managed the situation. He wrote the protest song and created the musical video about this case. The song “United Breaks Guitars” immediately became viral. The video got more than 15 million views on Youtube.

Rob Bradford, an United’s managing director of customer solutions, telephoned Carroll to apologize for the incident. Bob Taylor, an owner of Taylor Guitars, gave Carroll two guitars as a gift. Also, the United Airlines’ stock price fell 10% after this video has been posted!!!

This story proves that justice does exist. We must try to get it using for our purpose any ways. Even the most unexpected! Share this wonderful story and funny video with your friends and family to cheer them up.
