We love it when country stars offer us little glimpses of their private lives, but we also respect their right to have those moments that are just for family. Carrie Underwood has never been one to share a lot of family photos on her social media pages, but in a new music video, she’s opening that scrapbook up.
And it is everything we hoped it would be.
Set to the fan favorite track “What I Never Knew I Always Wanted” from her most recent album, “Storyteller” image after image, all in black-and-white, fade in and out. As the song begins, “Never was the kind to think about dressing in white,” images of Carrie with husband Mike Fisher wash across the screen starting with when they were just dating. The video transitions through their relationship up to their wedding, and then into Carrie as an expectant mommy.
We’re then treated to photos of a newborn Isaiah with each of his parents, as well as with his fur-siblings, Penny and Ace. We’re also reminded of how quickly time flies as we watch baby Isaiah grow into a toddler.
The feels are reals, folks.
This video also really makes us cross our fingers that Isaiah will have a baby brother or sister one day, but as Carrie and Mike have said, that’s all up to God. In the meantime, we’ve heard that Carrie is in the early stages of making new music, and although nothing has been officially announced yet, this beautiful Oklahoma girl typically takes a couple of years off between tours.
Now, we aren’t positive, but it sure seems like some of these pictures haven’t been shown before, unless Carrie shared them with her amazing fans, often known as the Care Bears. Those are the same fans responsible for securing Carrie’s spot in the Rare Country Awards.
They’re also voting their little fingers off!
Yes, Carrie is nominated in a whopping four different categories at the 2017 Rare Country Awards, including Opry Moment of the Year with Reba McEntire, Duet of the Year with Keith Urban, Story of the Year and Female Artist of the Year, but it’s up to you to pick the winners. Vote now through Dec. 13 at RareCountryAwards.com. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert event originating from Nashville on Dec. 14.
