Israel Ka’ano’i Kamakawiwo’ole was a Hawaiian musician who performed songs to the accompaniment of Hawaiian ukulele guitars. Apart from his musical activities, this talented individual also applied his energies to supporting his people’s independence.
Israel was often called «The Gentle Giant» due to the fact that, despite his imposing size, he sang in an incredibly delicate and penetrating voice. Israel was and will remain forever a legendary personality.
