It‘s a well-known fact that dogs are not the best climbers. Well, there are some breeds that are better suited for the job than others, but in general, our canine friends are not supposed to climb trees or roofs.
But since in every group, including dogs, there are rebels, we‘d like to introduce to you Huckleberry The Roof Dog.
Huck might look like an ordinary doggie, but he is a real roof climber. He loves nothing more than spending time on his humans‘ roof top and looking at the world from up high. While he looks at passers-by calmly, they are shocked to see a dog on the rooftop.
Of course, the concerned people usually rush to the doors of the house and start knocking to inform the owners their pooch is on the roof.
Actually, they do a good thing because a dog would be hurt if it jumped from the top of a house, but the Huck‘s humans assure everybody their pet is safe. Tired of people knocking on their doors, they put up a ‘Don’t Be Alarmed’ note. It read:
“Huckleberry is living up to his name and learned how to jump onto our roof from the backyard.
We never leave him in the backyard without someone being at home. He will not jump off unless you entice him with food or a ball! “We appreciate your concern but please do not knock on our door… We know he’s up there! But please feel free to take pictures of him and share with the world!”
The owners even added a special hashtag #hucktheroofdog so that more people would learn adout their pooch‘s special hobby. We don‘t know what exactly Huck loves about the roof, but it’s pretty impressive!
