You are going to fall in love with Robin after you see how he proposes to his fiancé. Which is too bad, because once you see this video, you’ll understand that he only has eyes for Klara.
Robin Ström is a firefighter who pulled out all of the stops to propose to his helicopter pilot girlfriend, Klara Rizell. He managed to turn an airport runway into the cutest place possible. Thanks to some inside help, Ström was able to turn his girlfriend’s ordinary workday into the most memorable day of her life.
Ström was nervous about the results of the engagement proposal, but he adorably jokes around about how small he made the landing spot for if she answered “no.” She would have had to have been crazy not to land on the big, red heart that said “yes” after all of the effort Ström put in to winning her heart forever.
As if this whole scenario wasn’t romantic enough already, Ström informs the interviewer that the airport he’s proposing at is where the couple first met. It’s so cute to see how excited he is by their love story. He is absolutely ready for the next chapter with Rizell. Watching this video, you can’t help but get excited as the plan is put into action.
As his girlfriend is getting ready to land for what she believes is a routine pickup, Ström jumps on to the air control radio to pop the question.
“You’re not allowed to answer on the radio,” he tells her. “Where you choose to land will be your final answer.”
Even though she’s thousands of feet in the air, Ström still drops down onto one knee to pop the question. The traditional gesture makes this out-of-the-world proposal just that much better!
Although you can’t actually see Rizell as she’s landing the helicopter, you can hear in her voice how excited she is to land the helicopter and see Ström. Plus, it’s hard not to smile once “Love is in the Air” by John Paul Young starts playing in the background of the video. It’s such a perfect song for the moment.
I don’t want to spoil the ending—which in my opinion is the best part—so all I can say is that this video is well worth a watch. After this romantic airport proposal, it’s safe to say that everyone around the world has got their work cut out for them.
