At first glance, Megan and Morgan, little twin sisters from Philadelphia, look pretty much like any other children of their age. However, there is one detail that makes them very special: their eyes.
Being different from the rest
Firstly, in contrast to the majority of African-Americans, these two little beauties have eyes of a color as blue as the sky. In addition to that, only one of the sisters, Megan, has both of her eyes completely blue. Her twin sister, Morgan, has heterochromia (different colored eyes): While one of her eyes is blue, the other one is dark brown with a small blue spot.
And this is what makes Megan and Morgan so special. Just think of it, it is very unlikely for a person with a dark skin color to have blue eyes. And while there is no certain data, some statisticians estimate that only around 1 percent of the human population might have different colored eyes. But how high could be the chances of putting these two rare cases together in one set of twins?
Becoming little stars
Their unusual appearance turned Morgan and Megan into the little stars of the internet. The girls’ mother, Stephanie Boyd, often shares the pictures of her lovely twins on social media. She calls them TrueBlue Twins and usually adds a hashtag #trueblue to the pictures of the girls, obviously referring to their unusual eyes coloring.
The sisters even have their own pages on Facebook and Instagram with thousands of fans and followers. Every now and then, Stephanie publishes new photos of her daughters and shares the most recent news from their lives.
And there is a lot to share because these two 6-year-old kids live a life of true celebrities. They have lots of photo sessions and participate in numerous fashion shows and events. And at all these pictures, the girls look pretty much like professional models.
It is all about genes
The most intriguing question is, where did the kids get these unique blue eyes? And the answer is simple: It is all about genes. Their mother, Stephanie, also possesses a pair of stunningly bright blue eyes.
