That morning an Indian farmer from Pimpalgaon Siddhanath village contacted the county’s forest department about a leopard fighting for its life trapped in a 60-foot deep well. The forest department called Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Centre, run by Wildlife SOS.

The leopard was on the verge of drowning.

“The terrified leopard was on the verge of drowning and was desperately clinging onto a rope to stay afloat,” the group writes in a statement.

At first, the villagers lowered a piece of wood into a well. Then, when the Wildlife SOS and forest department staff arrived, they lowered a cage for the big cat to get in.

After the leopard was saved, it was released into the wild. Watch the video to find out more about this intense rescue! Please, don’t forget to share this video with your friends and family!
