When the neighborhood garbage men come to haul away our trash, we do not always stop to consider the mental toll that this job can take. Garbage men see and hear things that would cause the average person to freak out and if you need an example of just how challenging this job can be, then this is the perfect story for you. If these garbage men had not shown up when they did, we shudder to think of what might have taken place.
They arrived at one location to do their usual business and when they were in the process of crushing trash and compacting it to be taken away, they never could have expected what would happen next. While those who work in this profession know that almost anything can take place while they are out on the job, the series of events that unfolded once they began to dispose of the truth is certainly remarkable.
These men heard a series of panicked cries coming from one of the plastic bags that was in the trash and once they were able to locate the bag where the noises were coming from, they were stunned to find what was inside. The bag contained a tiny, grey cat who had been left for dead and to make matters even worse, the animal had also been doused with gasoline.
Who would even think to do such an awful thing to an innocent creature? We cannot even begin to imagine what kind of depraved soul would behave in such a manner and these garbage men knew that they would have to intervene in order to save the cat’s life. They brought the animal to a hospital and it was clear to see that she was underweight, in addition to having gone without money for a significant period of time.
We cannot believe that the cat was able to survive for as long as she did. Not only was the animal trapped inside of a garbage bag with no access to food or water, but she was also made to breathe in harmful gas fumes. The fact that the animal was able to survive long enough to even call for help is a miracle in and of itself, to be perfectly honest.
She has now been named Miracle Maisy and she has been given a well deserved second chance at life. The kitty is now in recovery and in time, she is expected to bounce back from this ordeal and be stored to a state of full health.
