With the Christmas season right around the corner, it’s exciting to hear our favorite holiday tunes pop back on the radio. One such song is «The Twelve Days of Christmas» — and one of our favorite acapella groups is ready to knock it out of the park.
Thank goodness someone thought to record this Straight No Chaser performance and share it online for the world to see!
While many us know Straight No Chaser for their recent work, the group was actually started more than 12 years ago by a group of eager college students. A collection of students from Indiana University realized that they needed an outlet for their incredible voices and formed Straight No Chaser.
Over the years, the band grew and gained popularity far and wide – it was clear people all over the globe loved their sound and wanted to hear more from them!
Now, the group is one of the most popular acapella bands and have garnered millions of devoted fans over the years. Since reuniting in 2006, the group has over 20 million views on YouTube, released six new albums and won the CARA award for Best Holiday Album!
So when the men of Straight No Chaser stepped onstage for their rendition of «The Twelve Days of Christmas,» the audience went absolutely nuts. This collegiate performance gained a lot of attention around campus — there was a fully packed auditorium waiting for the men to open their mouths and share their incredible acapella sound.
As soon as they started singing, everyone in the audience fell silent. This was such a fun, exciting and utterly powerful rendition of the classic Christmas song and they got to experience it all live!
While Straight No Chaser has performed Christmas songs in the past, none seemed to compare to this rendition of «The Twelve Days of Christmas.» The men had so much energy onstage and appeared to really want to give a lively performance for their audience.
It’s obvious from this performance that they truly care for the fans who came out to see them in concert!
We can’t wait to see where the Straight No Chaser men can go with their unique acapella style! If this rendition of «The Twelve Days of Christmas» is any indication, they’ll go far!
