Meet Kheris Rogers! This lovely girl was very upset when her schoolmates began to bully her for her dark skin tone. But the 10-year-old child didn’t want to give up. She decided to be confident despite all the challenges.
Her story started when her sister Taylor Pollard posted beautiful pictures of Kheris online to comfort the girl. Taylor wrote: “My sister is only 10, but already royalty.” She also added a hashtag #FlexinInHerComplexion.
Unexpectedly, her post immediately went viral and more than 83 000 people supported the teen. Moreover, the tweet not only made the bullied girl feel better but also encouraged her to do something unusual.
Kheris made a decision to launch her own clothing line with the slogan: “Flexin’ In My Complexion.”
She said: “I feel confident in it myself because, even if I still get picked on because I’m darker, when I put on the T-shirt, it makes me feel bold.”
Kheris hopes that her clothing will help people to be strong and confident.
