A five-year-old girl named Jocelyn Rojas spent that day playing with her friends near her grandma’s apartment building. Her mother, Jaimee kept her eye on the kid from a window. But something really terrible happened.
Jocelyn walked around the corner of the building for her bicycle and suddenly disappeared. Her mom desperately called out to the girl, searching the apartment complex. When she noticed that the daughter’s bicycle was still there, the woman knew that something was wrong. Jaimee called the police. A short while later, firefighters and police officers swarmed the area, blocking the streets and searching the neighborhood.
15-year-old Temar Boggs and his friend were moving a couch for a senior lady, living nearby when someone approached him with a picture of Jocelyn. Temar didn’t see the girl, but he knew he needed to do something. The teens decided to take the search into their own hands.
One moment Temar spotted a maroon Chevy driving down a side street and looping back. It seemed the driver was unfamiliar with the area, so the boys decided to follow the vehicle. The teens chased the car and noticed that there was a little blond girl in the passenger seat.
Finally, Temar ended up face-to-face with the predator. The boy looked at the kidnapper’s face and said just three words: “I see you.”
Unexpectedly these words had an incredible effect, and the criminal let the little girl go. Several moments later, Jocelyn was reunited with her mom.
