Jack Nicholson, a famous actor and filmmaker was born in 1937 in New Jersey. He became a superstar of his time, his contribution to cinematography is crucial.
But his life had an unexpected turn when he was 37. He discovered that his “sister” was his real mother!
His mother was June Nicholson, a dancer. June got pregnant when she was only 17. In fact, she was unmarried and she didn’t know exactly who was the father. So, her parents agreed to raise this child as their own. The family kept their secret from Jack. They didn’t reveal his true parentage even on their deathbeds.
In 1974 the journalists from Time magazine learned this fact and informed Jack. His “sister” June was his biological mother, and his other sister was his aunt. His mother and his grandmother had died by that time.
Jack Nicholson said: “I didn’t have to deal with it with them. They were dead.I am that kind of person-what do I feel-and had the tools to know what I feel. Gratitude. I’ve often said about them: Show me any women today who could keep a secret, confidence, or an intimacy to that degree, you got my kind of gal.”
