The time has officially come!
Beyoncé Knowles and husband Jay Z were finally blessed with two new bundles of joy, it was confirmed on June 17, 2017.
The proud parents welcomed a boy and a girl into the world, despite complications. According to TMZ, “A ‘minor issue’ surfaced, and as a result … doctors do not feel comfortable releasing them,” adding that Beyoncé and her twins are all expected to be okay.
The twins are the couple’s second and third children after their eldest daughter, Blue Ivy.
The famous singer announced her pregnancy back on February 1, 2017, with a spectacular Instagram post. In the caption, the pair wrote: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.”
After her announcement, she received an uproar of support and excitement from fans everywhere.
Beyoncé and Jay Z married in 2008, after initially starting their relationship collaborating on music together in 2002. As their love grew, so did their dreams of having a family. The couple had suffered a miscarriage in 2010, which made the birth of daughter Blue Ivy in 2011 so meaningful. Now, the parents of three are all set to enjoy everything parenthood has to offer!
And as it just so happens, Beyoncé and Jay Z join another huge Hollywood power couple, George and Amal Clooney, in giving birth to a set of twins this year.
