For those who have golden retrievers, you know how loving, fun, and eager to please they are. Owners want to take them everywhere because these pooches are just such great companions.
One college student at Grand Valley State University in Michigan went one step further in his companionship with his golden retriever, Tahoe.
JJ McGrath sent an email with the subject “Dog” to his sociology professor to ask if he could take his pup to class with him. When she didn’t respond at first, JJ did not back down!
Not many teachers would yield to a request like this, but luckily for JJ and the rest of his class, there was an unexpected end to this story.
Do you think that dogs should be allowed to accompany students to class? If they are well-behaved enough, where’s the real harm in it? They do seem to keep everyone happy and calm!
JJ and his family have many dogs and take them everywhere.
So, it made sense in his mind that she should attend class with him.
He reached out several times with no response.
Until finally…success!
JJ posted the story to Twitter, and before he knew it, he had nearly 4,000 followers.
People all over the world were messaging, asking for more pictures of Tahoe.
JJ thinks that everyone just wants to bring their dogs to school too!
Tahoe was very well-behaved, and even ventured to do some class participation up at the board!
