Cannabis is a tricky subject when it comes to health and natural remedies. There are those who truly benefit from it’s pain relieving properties, and then there are those that abuse the system in order to get high.

Cannabis Science, a company that specializes in cannabis therapy, has announced a new delivery system that makes treating fibromyalgia and diabetic nerve pain with pot a much simpler process.

Instead of smoking or ingesting the weed, patients would be able to wear a patch that slowly delivers the medication. A porous membrane on the patch is coated with cannabis and as their body heat melts the adhesive, the medicine would be absorbed by the patient’s skin.

So far, there have been no reports of negative side effects. Fibromyalgia affects about 2% of the American population. It is a disorder that causes chronic muscle pain and fatigue.
