When you get pulled over by a police officer, chances are you’re getting in trouble for speeding, passing a red light, or some other reckless behavior.
But you might be in luck if you happen to be stopped by Police Officer Paul Lagoa near Boston.
As part of an initiative called “The Positive Ticket,” Officer Lagoa has been handing out tickets to children he sees doing good deeds. The initiative is similar to the one from a police department in Georgia that went around giving tasty treats instead of tickets.
In the video below we see him pull over a Jeep with a mom and her 6-year old son Jack in the back seat. Officer Lagoa gave the boy a coupon to get free ice cream from a local store.
“We saw your son standing by your side and walk with you to the car, and he held your hand,” he told the mom.
And just watch the boy’s reaction when he realizes what the cop has given him — it’ll melt your heart.
The video also shows Officer Lagoa’s interaction with two other boys who seem just as pleased for their treat.
“To put a smile on a kids face like that — it’s priceless. You can’t ask for anything else,” Officer Lagoa said.
Watch below and please Liked Video if you think these kids deserve these treats!
