A few years back, Christi Cason and her husband Dave had had 16 other children together, nine boys and seven girls, all singles ranging in age from 2 to 23 years. Christi and Dave are also grandparents, as their oldest daughter has a child. And they say they don’t have this many children for religious reasons… they simply love having a big, happy family.
Eventually, the Cason family packed up their belongings and moved into a five-bedroom home with more space than they ever had before. While Dave works to provide for the family, Christi takes the lead on managing the household on a budget, plus cleaning and childcare duties… and she says she does up to seven loads of laundry per day! She also says she wouldn’t change it for the world.
Christi and Dave were determined to add one more to their massive brood, but this time the journey was more difficult. They never had any issues conceiving naturally before.
After 20 months of heartache, and two miscarriages, Christi learned she was pregnant again.
It was this Cason child who really left the medical community baffled, just for the sheer number of children conceived by the couple. The Casons are now one of the largest families in the country.
Dave was by Christi’s side as the fertile forty-something mother delivered baby Vaughn.
