When a dad is away from home for a long time, families really miss him. Sometimes, if kids are young, they might actually be a little shy when he returns. But not this kid!
The dog left behind may not recognize the uniform Dad is wearing, and of course he doesn’t know where Dad went or why he was gone, but the pup sure knows how to let Dad know he’s glad his human is finally home again! Just watch the video below.

As it should be, the human gets down on his knees to give Fido that hug he’s missed all those moths while his human was deployed away from home. His excited yips and whines express the heart of this obviously loved dog.
It’s hard to tell who is more excited, Dad or dog. But one thing’s for sure, this is a no-holds-barred encounter that will long be remembered. Every soldier should be greeted with such enthusiasm and love!
