Childhood and personal life

David Cassidy was a son of an actor, Jack Cassidy, and actress, Evelyn Ward. As a boy, he always dreamed to become a famous star and follow his father’s footsteps. When he was 3, his mom took David to see his dad’s performance on Broadway. Young Cassidy was so much impressed by it that his greatest desire became playing on the stage just like his dad.

As a teen, David was a real troublemaker. He was expelled from school because of inappropriate behavior. Following his dream to become an actor, Cassidy was accepted to the Los Angeles Theater Company. After that, he moved to New York, where he made his debut appearance in the musical “The Fig Leaves Are Falling.”
