With winter in full swing, many of us are in a desperate search for things to keep ourselves busy. From building snowmen to making hot cocoa, there’s only so many things we can do when the temperatures dip below freezing.

This exuberant fur ball is so excited and really wants to join in. While this dog clearly loves sledding, it may have to do with the exciting nature of snow. According to The Scientific American, dogs love snow for a variety of reasons.
Not only does the snow bring about a change of scenery, but it also brings new smells and animal tracks to follow. Dr. Gordon Burghardt from the University of Tennessee explains that dogs also enjoy the snow because of the cool temperatures.
A dog’s body temperature is higher than human’s, so snow is the perfect cool environment for them to romp in! The cool temperatures and room to play is exactly why this little pup is so excited about sledding.
As soon as he watches Dad go down the hill, an idea strikes him. What if he could sled, too? If we judge by the wagging of his tail, this guy has hatched a plan.
