Dolly Parton Tells About The Reasons Why She Does Not Have Kids

bez-imeni-1

For over 5 decades, multi-award winning country singer Dolly Parton has worked her way into the hearts of millions of people around the world. Since she first appeared on the music scene with Hello, I’m Dolly in 1967 and till now, she continues to make beautiful and timeless music.

Dolly is proud to have been married for over 50 years to Carl Dean, and neither age nor time has done anything to slow her down. In times when many celebrity relationships and marriages experience fluctuations and crashes, for Dolly, marriage has been a constant source of motivation. She also notes that family has been very supportive of her and her career.

This year, she released her first-ever children’s’ album called I Believe in You, a twelve-track record with songs that also appeal to the young at heart.

All proceeds from sales and other sources will go to her Imagination Library. The latter is a program that provides books for children from the time when they are born till when they are old enough for school. This is done for free. Since she started it, the program has given out over 100 million books to children around the world.

No kids but still sharing the love
Despite trying for several years, Dolly Parton has been unsuccessful in having any kids. In a recent interview, she spoke briefly about her situation. She says that she did hope to have kids but was never successful. Other commitments in life and her music also took precedence as the years progressed, and along with her husband Carl, she has accepted her fate.
When asked by Matt Lauer on the Daily Show, Dolly reveals:

Well God has a plan for everything…I think probably it was his plan for me not to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine, and they are now!

Still, Dolly has found ways to share her love with thousands of children in America and beyond.

She also donates generously to support children. Here, she is seeing at a visit to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt where she made a pledge of $1,000,000 to support the kids.

Dolly always stands out in her public appearances. Here, she is seen in a stylish studded dress at an event.

Good times out on the #pureandsimpletour!
