Keeping the bathroom clean and fresh may be a challenging task. However, there are several solutions that are easy and impressively effective, so you will be able to save both your time and money.
Toilet bombs have two main functions: First, they clean the toilet bowl and secondly, they kill the odor and make the air in the bathroom fresh again. Sounds like a perfect solution for any household, right?
The good news is that you can actually make these bombs out of the regular products you can find in your kitchen. And today, we will share with you not one but two easy recipes of these amazing toilet bombs.
Recipe #1
So, the first recipe is pretty simple.
You will need the following materials:
- 1 1/3 cup baking soda;
- 1/2 cup citric acid;
- 30 drops each of three different essential oils;
- 3 drops of blue or green natural food coloring;
- 1/2 tablespoon water.
So, all you have to do is to mix all the ingredients nicely: First, you blend the baking soda and citric acid; then, start moisturizing it with the help of a spray bottle filled the mix of water, essential oils, and food coloring.
The final mix should have the consistency of wet sand.
Press the mix into a silicone mold and leave overnight to let it dry naturally.

Recipe #2
This recipe requires a bit different materials but is just as effective as the first one.
Materials:
- 4 tablespoon cornflour;
- 2 tablespoon baking soda;
- 1 tablespoon citric acid;
- 5–10 drops of an essential oil;
- a bit of water;
- a few drops of natural food coloring.
Blend all the dry ingredients together and then spray it with the mix of water, food coloring, and essential oil. Make sure to blend the mix nicely so there won’t be any lumps left.
Press the mix into a silicone mold and give it a few hours to dry. Store the dry bombs in a glass jar so they won’t lose their aroma.
