In 2011, Lisa Jarmon was thrilled to be sitting in Ellen’s audience. At the time, Lisa had no idea it would be her first of many appearances on the show.
While looking back at the episode, Ellen noticed Lisa’s enormous amount of energy and told her producers that she wanted to meet her as soon as possible.
The producers tracked Lisa down and learned her powerful story. As it turned out, Lisa was a struggling single mom who not only took care of her children, but also her grandchildren.
The following week, Lisa returned to Ellen’s show. But this time, Ellen called her down to the stage. She finally got to sit with Ellen on national television and share her amazing personality with the world… but there was also a huge surprise in store.
Knowing Lisa’s financial situation, Ellen decided to give her a brand new car. But Lisa was so overwhelmed and emotional that she refused to turn around and look at her much-deserved gift.
Ellen needed to call her friend down from the audience to help calm her down!
