This is unthinkable. One family went to the movie theater for three hours, and when they returned, they couldn’t believe what their husky had done.
The naughty boy somehow got into a container of calligraphy ink, then went on a rampage throughout the home. The owner posted the image on Imgur, where it quickly went viral last year.
The user who shared the post said the floors have since been cleaned. Thankfully, the ink was nontoxic for dogs. We can only imagine how long it took to clean up that mess, but at least the dog had some fun while his humans were away.
Inside Edition spoke with dog trainer Laura Nativo to understand why dogs tend to make messes while their humans are away.
“That dog might have just been bored and curious and sitting at home and ‘Oh, I wonder what’s in here?’” Laura said.
Laura confirms that what is a mess for humans can be the best for dogs.
“To them, playing with a pillow, they might think, ‘Oh my God, this is the most fun I’ve ever had. I’ve got all of the feathers out of the pillow.’ And in their brain they’ve just had a fantastic day,” she said.
Laura recommends keeping dogs busy, even while you’re away, so that they don’t get into trouble. That means leaving them with toys that will keep them occupied. Of course, having another dog or animal friend helps, too.
