It’s not uncommon to hear of people who adopt pets, then discover at some point that they can no longer care for them. In the event that these furry friends need to find another home, it’s best to relinquish them to a shelter. Pet lovers don’t understand how a person can abuse an animal for any reason or in any situation.
Sanitation workers were horrified when they found a cat tied up in a trash bag and doused with gasoline. They rushed the poor animal to a hospital to save her.
The two garbagemen were in the middle of crushing trash when they heard what sounded like cries coming from one of the bags. They opened one of the bags and immediately saw that the poor creature looked very helpless, probably the victim of abuse.
Vets quickly got to work on getting the cat back on the mend. Now renamed Miracle Maisy, the cat is healing and is expected to make a full recovery. The smell of gasoline still lingers on her fur and she remains underweight, but with time, she’ll be able to find a forever home and owners who will love her. She’s already showing her rescuers her sweet personality!
Authorities are looking for the abuser, offering a reward for any tip leading to an arrest.
