Sylvia Martin is 93 years young, and she’s not letting anything get in the way of getting married. If that means asking the internet what dress she should wear to her own wedding, so be it!
But Sylvia’s path to matrimony hasn’t been an easy one. For many years, Sylvia has been with her partner, Frank, who is 88 years old. They have known one another for 20 years.
But every time he’s asked her to marry him, she refused. She didn’t want to disrespect her deceased husband by changing her name.
Then, a year ago, Sylvia fell ill and had to move to be closer to her family. It seemed like the relationship was over, but then the grandma got better! She reached out to Frank, and the two lovebirds rekindled their relationship. He even moved to be with her!
A few months later, Frank proposed again, and this time, Sylvia said yes! She learned that she didn’t have to change her surname if she wanted to get married, and is now planning her wedding for July.
She recently visited Birdsnest, a clothing store, to pick out a wedding dress, and seems to be fond of the color red. But Sylvia can’t pick between the following four options.
