As it turned out, the process isn’t simple at all. The Goodwill employees start with sorting again your donations and decide whether they can or cannot sell something from your pile.
After four weeks, they send all the remaining items to the Goodwill outlet stores, where the price will be even lower. Then, the leftovers get another chance to be sold, Goodwill throws live or online auction events where you can buy a bunch of things for unbelievably low prices.
Stuff that doesn’t get sold gets donated to recycling companies, like S.M.A.R.T.
