In 2009 Ben and Ali Nunery tied the knot. Everything was perfect: the bride had a beautiful dress, the groom was so in love. Beautiful wedding photo session and Steve Wonder songs… But life happened, in 2011 Ali had died of a lung cancer. Two years after that, Ben decided to sell the house, but before leaving, he and his little daughter, Olivia recreated the family’s wedding album.
Ben said, “Many people have asked me how I felt while doing that photo session. What I want them to know is that this isn’t a story about grief and loss and hurt. Yes, I’ve gone through those emotions and still do but that’s not what I want people to see in these photos. This is a story about love.”

These photos will help little Olivia to remember her mother and the place, where she began her life.
During the photo session, Olivia found her mother’s curling iron and sat there to play. A similar photo was taken back in 2009.
«The memories of Ali don’t live in that house. They live with us, in our hearts», — said Ben. Ali’s oldest sister, Melanie, took these photos.

Olivia calls this glass angel “Mommy.”
During the photoshoot, a white feather appeared from nowhere, Melanie thinks it was a sign from her late sister.
«Our lives will continue down a curvy and uncertain path, but Olivia and I will be able to look at these photos and know that for a short time there was a place where I was the luckiest man in the world, even if just for a little while,» — wrote Ben.
