Kim Kardashian-West and her husband Kanye West have come a long way since meeting all the way back in 2010. It was a whole two years later before the pair started dating, and then another two years after that before they tied the knot in May 2014. They’ve now been together for five years which, considering celebrity relationships are notorious for lasting a pitiful amount of time, is pretty commendable! Not to mention Kim K was the woman who ditched her ex-husband 72 days into their marriage.
Now, the married couple have a four-year-old daughter called North and a son called Saint who is nearly two. However, the pregnancies didn’t exactly go to plan. The reality TV star suffered from placenta accreta during both pregnancies, and the complication was life threatening.
However, now the 36-year-old socialite and her 40-year-old rapper husband are expecting their third child. They are due to have a girl at the end of January 2018. Sources close to the couple revealed that the pair are still very much in love and are “over the moon” that they will be becoming parents for the third time.
“They want everything to be perfect and for the baby to be extremely healthy,” another source close to the couple said.
However, this time around, Kim K definitely won’t have to endure yet another bout of placenta accreta. And that’s because she has opted for an alternative pregnancy.
In an announcement that shocked many fans, the pair are expecting their baby via surrogate! The couple always knew they wanted to have more children, but didn’t want Kim to have to go through yet another complicated pregnancy. So, they were referred to a surrogate through an agency.
“The entire family is over the moon. Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months until recently when she found the perfect candidate,” a source revealed to People.
“They want everything to be perfect and for the baby to be extremely healthy,” the source continued.
“They don’t want any complications and Kim is providing an ideal eating regimen and diet so everyone knows what the baby is consuming before it’s born.”
According to TMZ, the surrogate has been banned from drinking, smoking and taking drugs throughout the pregnancy.
TMZ also reported that the couple paid the surrogate $45,000 for her services.
The surrogate is reportedly an African American woman in her late twenties. She has allegedly been prohibited from dying her hair, eating raw fish and using hot tubs while she is carrying the couple’s third child.
Those of you who are fans of the socialite’s reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians will know that the show has recently been focusing on some of the difficulties that Kim has been going through at this point in her life. A focal point has definitely been Kim opening up about wanting a third child.
I’m glad to hear that the couple have a healthy baby girl on the way, and that Kim has been putting her health first by deciding not to carry the baby this time around.
