There were many instances where children are being brought to the zoo. Most of the time, it is part of their educational experience involving animals, or some times, just a fun way to get to see animals that should be in the wild.
Kids might also be confused because animals at the zoo are known to fight each other in the wild, yet appear really submissive behind bars or glass walls. However, there are also times when these animals just won’t sit idly and stare at the people gathering to take pictures of them.
Such is the encounter of a little girl who came to visit the zoo and see the lion. In the video below, you can see that the young girl is pressing her face against the glass in front of the lion. It was peaceful at first as the lion only ignored her for a while. However, the situation changed when the little girl pressed her lips to the glass, meaning to give the lion a kiss. The king of the jungle was sent into a violent rage when he saw this. He clawed at the glass, looking as if he wants to attack the child.
This only proves that the cruel captivity inside zoos are not only hindering the freedom of wild animals but also making them stressed. The lion’s despair is obvious with his frustrated act after being provoked.
Clearly, this beautiful animal should be set free to where he truly belongs, along with all the other animals imprisoned for the sake of fun of us humans.
