The modern lifestyle has changed dramatically in the last 20 years. The technological development provides us access to such enormous volume of information that we often get distracted and lose track of people, who live next door!
That’s probably what Marleen Brooks experienced the day she found a strange letter in her mailbox. When she opened and read it, she was really heartbroken. The letter was sent by a 90-year-old lady named Wanda, who lived nearby.
It was a dramatic confession and a call for help: “Mrs? Would you consider to become my friend. I’m 90 years old — live alone and all my friends have passed away. I’m so lonesome and scared. Please — I pray for someone.”
Marleen was a kind-hearted person. She took cupcakes and paid a visit to Wanda, who turned out to be a very sweet lady. The old woman was really happy to make new friends, and we thank Marleen for what she had done for her!
