This looks like a plot for a nice Hollywood movie.
The particular story of this 400-pound black bear started when he decided to make all the way from his native Osceola National Forest to a residential area in Florida. Who knows what had made the big fella take this trip, but he enjoyed his journey not for long. Having discovered the animal shuffling through residential garbage, the wildlife authorities decided to capture him and send back to his home. And that’s when things took an unfortunate turn.
Being hit with a tranquilizer dart, the bear, however, decided it wasn’t time to go to sleep and so he made his way up to the ocean and got into the water.
But the tranquilizer eventually made a move, and the now drowsy animal started to drown. Luckily for him, biologist with the Wildlife Commission Adam Warwick didn’t waste time and raced to rescue.
Despite the size and weight of the poor drowner, the man grabbed him and began to drag to shore. With the sedative showing much effect, the bear lost almost all mobility and hardly kept his head above the water.
But Warwick just kept on swimming and finally the two of them safely reached land.
Since the bear weighed too much, the rescue team had to require services of a tractor to put the sleepy pal onto the transport vehicle.
Adam made sure the survivor settled down in comfort.
Now, having reached his home in Osceola National Forest, the bear is recovering from shock and doesn’t even think of rummaging through human garbage again.
