One little girl named Darci Lynne made the debut of the 2017 season of America’s Got Talent absolutely unforgettable.
The 12-year-old from Oklahoma City already had the judges’ full attention when she walked onstage with her adorable puppet by her side. However, they clearly weren’t expecting her audition to blow them away with such a silly-looking sidekick.
Darci seemed to be fighting a few nerves when she began answering Simon’s questions with uncontrollable giggles before introducing her bunny, Petunia.
Or rather, Petunia took the opportunity to introduce herself, with Darci revealing her talent for ventriloquism. Simon jokingly asked if she was a “real” bunny before Darci explained how she hoped to help “keep ventriloquism alive,” since the art form has faded in popularity over the years.
Her performance was definitely unlike any other ventriloquist act anyone has ever seen!
The young girl appeared to be nervous again when Petunia admitted she would be singing for the judges. However, the look on Simon’s face after he heard the puppet hit her first note says everything about this unexpected “duet.”
