The actor is suspected of losing his battle with Parkinson’s disease. The disease is progressing so quickly that at times his left leg goes numb and he has to drag it.
It’s so bad for Michael J. Fox that even making coffee is a mission. But the star has kept a great sense of humor about his illness and doesn’t let it get him down.
Even though Michael J. Fox is keeping his spirits up as he continues to battles Parkinson’s disease, it seems he might be losing the battle. Smartly Stuff revealed that Fox’s illness was reportedly taking its toll on the actor.
Fox was diagnosed with the disease back in the 1990’s. He’d previously shared that there were some really bad days, but he would end up just laughing his symptoms off.
When he reached age 54, his speech had already started slurring and his left foot had become unresponsive that sometimes he would resort to just dragging it. It’s expected that before he reaches the age of 60, he would already be using a wheelchair.
“Michael may be down, but he’s not out. It was a struggle for him during his rare outing, but as he headed away from the restaurant he even managed to flash a peace sign to his fans from the back of the limo.”

Most of the time he stays indoors but at one point he and his wife, Tracy Pollan, went on a night out. He was seen with several helpers who aided him in getting in and out of his car.
According to Radar Online, a close friend revealed to that seeing Fox during that night was heartbreaking. The friend went on to praise him for his bravery.

But, at the time, the close pal said that the disease was getting worse. Now aged 56, Fox considers each day as a gift and an opportunity to help others who are also suffering.
He spearheaded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. It has raised millions of dollars to help the innovation of the research in finding a cure for the disease.

However, until now, a cure was still not discovered. In 2007, Fox was named by Time magazine as one of the hundred people “whose power, talent or moral example is transforming the world.
” Despite being sick, his sense of humor remains present. Fox has a positive outlook on life in spite of the difficulties brought about by the symptoms of his health condition.

He’s been a determined advocate in raising awareness for Parkinson’s by using his wide platform as a prominent figure in the society. Even though the disease is progressing quickly, this hasn’t stopped him from soldiering on with his acting career according to Smartly Stuff.
His latest roles include starring as Mike Henry in NBC’s The Michael J. Fox Show. Their her portrayed a newscaster with Parkinson’s who retires from work, he also has a recurring role on the CBS drama, The Good Wife as Louis Canning.
