Since 1925, the United States Navy Band has been recognized as one of the world’s finest military bands. This band serves the ceremonial needs of the government, performing at such events as presidential inaugurations, state arrival ceremonies, state funerals, state dinners and other significant events.

But out of all their most beautiful performances is their annual holiday concert held each December. It not only highlights their amazing talents, but also allows them to cut loose just a bit.

This annual tradition is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for the Navy Band. They put on a family friendly show that people of all ages love.

The Navy Band is based at the historic Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., and performs all types of music from ceremonial pieces to rock, country, jazz and classical. The Navy Band actually has six performing ensembles, including the concert band, the ceremonial band, the Commodores jazz ensemble, country current country-bluegrass ensemble and the cruisers contemporary entertainment ensemble.

There’s also the sea chanters chorus. Each performing group is chock full of undeniable talent.

With almost 200 enlisted musicians and officers, the Navy Band presents an amazing holiday concert. It is held at Constitutional Hall and their performance of «White Christmas» was captured on camera for everyone to enjoy.

Tickets to their shows are sold out well in advance. Those who are not fortunate enough to snag an admission ticket have loved watching their rendition of this holiday hit online in the video below.

The soldiers are decked out in formalwear but for this particular song, they are sporting colorful scarves and sunglasses. They’re an absolute hoot to watch!
