Rookie officer Zack Vanderwerf had only been on the force for about 90 days, but he was quickly on his way to becoming the star of the Lansing Police Department in Illinois!
The cop was working at a community event when a woman asked him to join her and her friends in a dance. As someone who loves to boogie, he didn’t hesitate to show off his smooth moves! He knew every step of the “Cupid Shuffle,” impressing everyone at the event. One of his fellow officers started filming him, and now, the clip has gone viral!
At the time of writing, the clip had almost 200,00 views on Facebook. Zack is well on his way to becoming an internet celebrity.
The 29-year-old officer admits that he may have done the dance before, which is why he knew all the moves! He’s not shy, and certainly not afraid to make a strong impression.
Of course, Zack isn’t the first officer to take a short break from work to have a little fun. There are so many who have used their moves to get to know the locals a little better. Just check out this Texas cop who stopped to do the nae nae with a few neighborhood kids!
