Everyone knows that keeping our house clean is important for health and well-being of the whole family. However, as far as it concerns carpets, many people are skeptical about whether it is actually possible to clean them thoroughly, and sometimes, they even opt for not having carpets in the house at all due to difficulty in maintaining them spotless. But refusing from the carpet will not save you from dirty places in the house, because some of them may turn out to be very unexpected:
However, very often, soft carpets are necessary to create a cozy atmosphere at home. There are a few reasons why taking good care of them is important.
1
It’s recommended to clean the carpets every 6 to 12 months in order to keep them like new for a long time. Except for good appearances, carpets influence our health, working like filters in the air-conditioning system. They gather all the bacteria, pollen, allergens, and dust that are floating in the air. The best way to maintain fresh and clean air in the house is to regularly clean the carpets.

We all know that removing a red wine stain or other dirty spots from the carpets can be not only challenging but also pricy, if you have to call the professional carpet-cleaning service. Nevertheless, there is a simple solution one might find useful to try, before splurging on professional cleaners.
There are ordinary ingredients, which can be found in any household, that can help remove the stains. It’s vinegar and baking soda!
3

Sometimes, these two ingredients can completely transform the look of even a very old carpet and make it shine! Just apply baking soda on the stains and spray over it generously with vinegar water: it’s water mixed with vinegar in 50/50 proportion.

It’s important that you cover the stains completely and be lavish with vinegar water because if the amount is too scarce, the mixture might not work to the best results.
4

When the vinegar water is applied, and the ingredients start mixing and hissing, resembling bubbling volcanic lava, be sure that you are doing everything right. Now, it’s time to leave the snowy surface alone for a few hours, and upon returning, make sure that the whole surface is covered with a kind of paste. If it hasn’t turned into paste, it’s a good idea to add some vinegar water.

5

After a couple of hours, the mixture has to be scrubbed loose: it should be removed pretty easily, showing parts of renewed, stainless carpet.
