What would you say if I told you it could be possible to combine candy canes with everyone’s favorite cookie to dip in milk? That’s right, Oreo candy canes are rumored to be coming out just in time for the holiday season, so if you thought Christmas in July was exciting—this is even better since, you know, it’s only June.
PopSugar was the first to report that this candy-cookie creation will supposedly be hitting the market, but Nabisco has yet to confirm whether these cookies-and-cream treats are actually in the works for Christmastime.
The announcement came via the Instagram account @candyhunting.
They’re calling the announcement a “Christmas Preview” in the caption, and if this is accurate, Oreo fans have a lot to look forward to.
As you can see from the packaging, these candy canes will be “Cookies & Creme” flavored.
We’re thinking while they’re at it they might as well do a second version with that signature candy-cane mint flavor and make mint-chocolate Oreo candy canes too.
Regardless of the fact that people have no way of knowing what these will taste like yet, folks online already seem to have mixed opinions.
Some love the idea of mixing these two classics, but others are way more skeptical.

People on Facebook seem to either be begging for Christmas to come early this year or are responding writing, “I’m sorry…but EWW.”
This isn’t the first time Oreo cookies and candy canes have collided, though.
Once upon a time you could purchase peppermint-flavored Oreos, but they were limited-edition items.
You can still find some on eBay if you’re interested in trying them out, however.
Only time will tell if the latest rumored cookie candies will hit store shelves this holiday season. If they do become available for purchase, will you be willing to give them a try?
