One of the world’s hottest supermodels is 21-year-old Bella Hadid. She was voted “Model of the Year” for Model.com’s 2016 awards, and together with her 22-year-old sister Gigi, frequently models for some of the world’s biggest brands including Fendi and Moschino.
The sisters come from an incredibly famous family. Their mother is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Yolanda Foster and their step-father David Foster is a music producer. What’s more is that their biological father, Mohamed Hadid, is a prominent real estate developer.
In 2017, Bella was the world’s most popular cover girl appearing on the cover of 28 magazines. She is featured below modeling for Victoria’s Secret with her sister Gigi. They made history being the first sisters to walk the runway as the lingerie brand’s infamous angels.
Despite singing to IMG Models in 2014, however, Bella said that she never intended to become a model. “There wasn’t really one time in my life where I was like, ’I want to be a model!’ It was more Gigi’s thing. I do like being in front of the camera more and more,” the 21-year-old said.
“Having experience behind it has taught me about lighting and angles, how to move, and what looks good and what doesn’t.”
Prior to her modeling career seriously taking off, Bella had been studying photography at college, but she dropped out to focus on modeling. She intends to return at some point in the future.
Whilst it’s clear that good jeans run in the Hadid family, it has now emerged that Bella has a doppelgänger – a young woman called Megan Hanburgh, who prefers to be known as Meg Burgy.
Meg Bury is a little-known Instagram fashion blogger from Manchester, England. She has currently amassed a little over 3,000 followers on the popular photosharing app, however, once her resemblance to Bella Hadid becomes better known, she will inevitably become more popular.
The two young women not only share similar hairstyles but remarkably similar faces.
Judging by Meg’s Instagram, the young woman has a much quirkier style than Hadid’s, which could make her a welcome breath of fresh air in the modeling world, which is frequently criticized for its promotion of women who appear to be carbon copies of each other.
On Meg’s blog, she describes herself as “a 20-year-old Mancunian.”
“I spend a large chunk of my time spending money (that I don’t have) on clothing, accessories, beauty products and food, which until this point has been confined to my Instagram,” she wrote in her blog’s description.
On Meg’s Twitter, she revealed that aside from being a fashion blogger, she is currently training to be a teacher.
While Meg and Bella might appear like they are both very confident in front of the camera, it turns out that Bella isn’t as confident as you would think. “I’m still very uncomfortable in front of video cameras,” she revealed to the Daily Telegraph.
“I’ve become confident with the people around me and myself, I’ve made friends with everybody so instead of it being a camera, it’s about the person behind the camera,” Bella said. “When you’re comfortable with the people around you, you learn not to be so nervous and to smile.”
In the future, as previously mentioned, Bella plans to spend most of her time behind the camera rather than in front of it.
“I think in the future I’m going to start shooting again, first as a hobby but maybe as a career too, eventually,” she revealed, in reference to her previous enrollment on a photography course at Parsons School of Design in New York.
But it’s not just appearing in front of the camera that makes Bella feel uncomfortable. Despite being a model, she has a number of insecurities about her body, especially her weight – which she admits fluctuates more than she would like it to.
“My weight fluctuates and so does everybody’s, and I think that if people are gonna judge, that’s the worst you can possibly do because everybody is different. I really didn’t mean to [lose weight],” she said. “Like I want boobs. I want my a** back,” Shape magazine reported.
