Hearing strange noises coming from an abandoned house is not good, Chicago police officers must have thought the same when heard some shrieks. The noises were coming from one neglected, old house. But what they found shocked them: there were two dogs crying out in pain.
It was July 6, when Trio Animal Foundation received a cal from Chicago Police Department informing they have just rescued two severely malnourished dogs. Those poor dogs, Emmy and Oscar, were just left,abandoned there to take care of themselves.
Later dogs were taken to the rescue center where staff did their best to help them.
Emmy, the reddish brown dog weighed only 20 pounds! And Oscar arrived in such a bad condition, rescuers though he might not be able to make it. Despite that, after three months of the team taking a good care of dogs, they regained their health.
Both Emmy and Oscar have gone through a really tough period in their life and survived! They started out taking IV fluids, pain medication, antibiotics, and a slow feeding regimen. After that nightmare they are doing better than ever!
This story fortunately has a happy ending: Emmy got adopted by her favorite doctor, Anthony.
And Oscar also found a loving home.
Although these two found their homes, there are still many animals looking for their forever homes. Just think about it…
