Pup Is Sent To Be Euthanized. Then Vet Decides To Take Closer Look And Saves Her Instead

When you get a pet, the love you have for them should always be unconditional. But sadly, for some, if there’s something wrong with dog, most decide that it’s not worth it, and then give them up. And it happens way too often.

It happened to this little 6 week old pup named Bo. She could no longer walk, and her owners began to believe that she was paralyzed. And instead of just taking her to the vet to get checked out, they sent her there to be euthanized.

They didn’t want to deal with everything, so they gave up on her. But the vet’s were not about to just put a puppy down for no reason.

The vets then began to perform tests to figure out what was causing her paralysis. And luckily, they got the results back pretty quickly, because it was such an easy fix.

Bo, now named Bella, was hypoglycemic, which was the ultimate cause of her being paralyzed.

“Maybe they weren’t feeding her enough, and her blood sugar was too low,” said Piper Wood, the founder of Hand in Paw Shelter.

They immediately started treatment, knowing that she would regain her strength soon enough. And miraculously, they were right.

They gave Bella a few IV’s and fluids, and she was completely fine. Now, they had to fix yet another problem. Bella was terrified of people.

Wood worked hard with Bella, doing whatever it took to get her to regain her strength and confidence. And it wasn’t long until they found her the perfect home.

“When I took her to her new home, I saw her play for the first time. She was playing with like 10 different toys at once and running around, and she was so happy. That was incredible to see because I’ve only seen the scared side of her. She’s definitely feeling so much better, and she feels at home now,” said Wood.

And honestly, we couldn’t be happier for this little baby girl! If this vet hadn’t decided to take a closer look at Bella, she wouldn’t be here today making her new family so extremely happy.

If you are so thankful that this vet looked at Bella, and didn’t just put her down, Liked Video this post!

Look at our new baby, Bo! Her former owners brought her in to our vet yesterday. They said she was paralyzed. They stated that they didn't want her, immediately signed her over, refusing any treatment (except euthanasia), and just left! Dr. Z immediately began treatment, and within 10 minutes, this girl was moving around. Today, she is standing and eating on her own! She is only 6 weeks old, but will certainly have a full, wonderful life ahead! ♡
