When one man decided to sell this rusty old knife the store wouldn’t give 30 cents for what looked like a piece of junk. This chef overheard the conversation and offered to buy it himself, and was shocked when all of a sudden the owner ramped up the price tenfold.
Still the chef agreed as the man he bought it from walked away with a big smile on his face, proud of his haggling skills. I’m sure that smile went away when he saw this video because he didn’t even realize that under that thick layer of rust there was this beauty. Just a bit of sanding and sharpening revealed a gorgeous traditional Japanese knife that I’m pretty sure goes for well over 3 bucks.
