Kindness and decency doesn’t depend on the size of our wallet, even the poorest person can always do the right thing. That’s what Waralop, a Thai man who lived in the streets until he found the wallet of an important businessman, proves.
Waralop saw the designer wallet, belonging to Nitty Pongkriangyos, in the Bangkok subway. Waralop tried unsuccessfully to reach Pongkriangyos, and decided it would be best to hand it in to the police office. The businessman, owner of a metallurgical factory, was very surprised that a person with a few pennies in his pocket would decide to do the right thing instead of taking advantage of the situation.
And it would have been easy for Waralop. Pongkriangyos had close to 550 dollars in cash, as well as several credit cards. Moved by the decency of this man, the businessman decided not only to give him a job in his factory, but a brand new apartment as well.
It really would have been very easy to take the money and forget everything. But no, Waralop did the right thing and he was paid back with interest. But Waralop didn’t do it for that, he did it because it was the right thing to do, he wasn’t looking for any reward, the reward came to him.
