A post on Facebook turned out to be truly heartbreaking given the contents of a wishlist belonging to a boy from Oklahoma, USA.
The organization Dreamcatchers for Abused Children is dedicated to offering care and support to minors who have suffered abuse, so they decided to post the little boy’s letter to his adoptive family listing what he would like in his new home:
Things I want in my family:
I want food and water. I don’t want to be hit. A house with light and water to drink. I want love. I don’t want mom and dad to fight. No drugs. Don’t kill my pets. I want help with school. Clean clothes. No lice or bugs. I want a clean house. A bed with covers. Don’t sell my toys. Treat me well. Don’t get drunk. A TV. Let me have toys. Things for school. Some nice shoes. My own comb. Soap. A nice and safe home. A heater and toothbrush.”
