ccording to experts, just 1 in every 1,000 people manage to find the second solution to this math problem. In fact, the math isn’t as easy as you think. It’s not about adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing; it’s about finding the logic behind a series of numbers. What links them?
The most common response would be: 1+4=5, and add that 5 to the following equation, 2+5. This would equal 12. That is, according to this logic, we just add the result of one equation to the following one and it will give us the answer to the first solution.
However, there is a very small number of people who can solve this problem according to a different logic. In this case, adding 1 to 4×1, which equals 5. Then, we add 2 to 2×5=12, 3+6×3=21 and, lastly, 8+8×11=96. As you’ll see, the result is completely different. Here we must add the first digit of the two digits to their multiplication (1,2,3 and 8).
