bez-imeni-1

One of our most common morning habits is making our bed. And there are many people who can’t even think about leaving it unmade.

You have to admit that made beds look nicer and when you get home after a long day at work or school, it’s impossible to resist laying down on it. But, did you know that making your bed could be damaging for your health?

In a recent study undertaken by the University of Kingston, England, it was revealed that the average bed is home to approximately 1.5 million dust mites, but when your bed is unmade, it’s less likely for these critters to invade it.

Asthma sufferers or those allergic to dust know better than anybody that dust mites are triggers of these conditions. The best thing is to keep them away, especially from our bed, since when we sleep, we can easily inhale the allergens they leave behind.

But, why are there dust mites on our bed?develop in warm, humid environments, and when we sweat at night it attracts them. When you leave your bed unmade, the air dries out the moisture created at night, leaving the dust mites to die of dehydration.

If you’re one of those who can’t leave their bed unmade, choose to open a window to let in sunlight and a little air just for a few hours.

What do you think of this excuse? You can definitely help prevent allergies and sickness.
