Malice and cruelty are quite common phenomena in the modern world. Some people don‘t hesitate to express their anger and offend others.
But, fortunately, there are those who know how to put those mean folks in their place. Those are courageous and kind people who know how to protect the helpless.
Once, a young girl was choosing her outfit in a store of wedding dresses. She was all shining with happiness because very soon, her dream would come true! She was looking for a beautiful white dress that would allow her to become a princess on her big day.
Then a mother and a daughter appeared in the store. When they noticed our happy bride, they could not get past her. The daughter said loudly:
“I don‘t understand how SUCH people can get married.”
The mother answered:
“I thought whales don‘t get married.”
The bride, who was plump, heard this dialogue. Her eyes filled with tears. She was embarrassed and blushed. She immediately wanted to finish fitting and run away from the store, but the store owner stopped her gently.
She approached the brazen couple with the words:
“I don‘t understand, do you think you‘ll find a dress for you in my shop?”
The daughter answered in arrogant tone:
“Of course! In fact, we came for a dress that we already had paid for.”
The store owner quietly approached the counter, asked the name of the mean girl and handed her a document.
Mother asked what it all meant. The owner explained:
“By signing this document you confirm that you want to return the funds for the dress. You can search for a dress in another store because I just canceled your order. I am sorry, but I refuse to help you. Now, please, leave the store until I called the police”.
The daughter was beside herself with rage. Angry, she began to throw things and try to break shop windows. Her wedding would be in a month, and it was too little to order another dress!
Mother tried to protest:
“We ordered this special dress for the important day! How could you cancel our order?”
But the owner replied:
“I canceled the order because I don‘t want at least one bride to feel that she is not worthy to marry because of her appearance. Obviously, you consider yourself better than others. But in my store, there is no place for such people. I am going to call the police. Since I have all the details of your credit card, I have every right to withhold the amount of damage your daughter has made to my store. ”
The enraged women left the store, and our unhappy bride was delighted with the attitude of the store owner.
The two tactless heroines of this story didn‘t know that the owner‘s daughter suffered from a hormonal disorder that didn‘t let her lose weight. Therefore, she understood the bride who was choosing her dress like no one else.
