Unfortunately, some people are very judgmental and like to judge others even if they are a little different. But, fortunately, there are people who are still able to put them back in their place.
Michelle and her two children — 5-year-old Siena and 10-year-old Kai — were travelling to Paris to visit Disneyland when this story took place. A passenger who apparently was not happy to be seated near an autistic girl decided to put up a fuss about it. She told Michelle that they should never fly with an autistic girl. According to this woman, “this handicapped child” disturbed the other passengers on the plane.
Although the family was shocked, little Kai did not want to remain silent and came up with the most superb response. He looked this passenger in the eye and said:
“Can you imagine how it would be if I discriminated against you just because you were different?”
It was a truly perfect answer that silenced this poorly educated woman.
Sienna, who suffers from a form of autism called idic15 was still a very important person for Kai. So it wasn’t surprising that her elder brother came to her defense.
Bravo for Kai, because his mother has a right to be extremely proud of him!
Please never forget, that we must never judge anyone without knowing their situation. Also, remember to be compassionate and supportive of people who are affected by difficult disease like autism.
