For this glowing bride, age is nothing but a number.
On her 100th birthday, Dana Jackson did something spectacular. She tied the knots with 97-year-old Bill Stauss. The wedding took place at a nursing home in Kentucky.
Speaking about her experience in an interview, Dana said, “I feel 50. I don’t feel 100.”
She had only ever been married once before– when she was 15.
The groom was very emotional when he saw his beautiful bride. He even shed a few tears of joy.
“It’s been 56 years since I had that happen to me,” Bill said. “All I wanted was a close look. When I saw her close up, I saw how beautiful she was.”
The couple met at an adult daycare centre two years ago.
Both the bride and groom never imagined that they would get married again, but life had other plans. It just goes to show, you never know when things will turn around.
The ceremony truly looked beautiful. The bride was dressed in the traditional white wedding gown and veil while the groom looked quite handsome in his tux.
Then there was the wedding cake, decorated with the words “Congratulations, you are never too old.”
