McKenzie and Steven Shultz from Cedar Rapids, US, decided to have a nice night out in the restaurant. But the service was horrible. They had to wait for more than an hour for the main course. Most of the guests were not happy with the service either. Having waited for too long, some of them went away, hungry and angry. But this couple did something extraordinary.
Instead of leaving or walking out on their waiter, they left him a 100-dollar tip.
This Is why they did so.
McKenzie explains the reason on her Facebook page:
It was a horrible service today. We waited for water for 20 minutes, and the main course for 40 minutes. People began to make fun of this restaurant and it’s poor service. It was terrible indeed. But it wasn’t the waiter’s fault, it’s because the restaurant was understaffed. The waiter had to rush around and was always polite. We watched him serve 12 tables and bar, as we could count. Few people can handle it! I saw him running around and apologizing for long wait, and then told Steve, “Look! We were like him back then… We served a lot of tables. I don’t miss that job at all. I did it only for tips” Me and Steven decided to do something nice for that waiter, who was likely to have no tips for slow service. We left before he could see that check. I decided to share this in order to remind; think twice before judging anyone. And always remember who you were in the past”
